The Average Joe 5K is definitely a unique race. it claims to be the "The World's Easiest 5k" because the winner of the run is the person who finishes in the middle of the race, not the person with the fastest time. That means that anyone could be the winner of this race.

The goal of the race is to remake the 5k experience by making average special and breaking the traditional idea of what it means to be physically fit. Their mission is to encourage and promote a healthier lifestyle for the Average Joe and Jane who has the determination to go out and try their best.

If you are one of the ones that completes the race you get a medal and a doughnut for making it to the finish line.
