Event Name: Friendship 5K
Location: Deerfield Beach, Florida
The inaugural Friendship 5K at Quiet Waters Park, presented by the Center for Hearing and Communication, was a truly special event. On a beautiful day in the park, runners and walkers from all over gathered to support a great cause and participate in a fun and exciting race.
The Center for Hearing and Communication is a non-profit organization that provides services and support to people who are deaf or hard of hearing. The Friendship 5K was a way to raise awareness about the important work that the organization does, as well as to raise funds to support their programs and services.
The race took place on a scenic course that wound through the beautiful Quiet Waters Park. The course was challenging but rewarding. A flat fast course through the park made for excellent finishing times; with Rafael Villarreal bringing the top spot with a time of 15:16.
But perhaps the most important aspect of the Friendship 5K was the impact that it had on the community. By bringing together runners, walkers, and supporters from all over, the race helped to raise awareness about the important work of the Center for Hearing and Communication. It also provided an opportunity for people to come together and show their support for a great cause.
