I was so pleased to once again be on-site for the 20th running of the Life Time Miami Marathon & Half Marathon.

Miami is no doubt one of the nation's most colorful, cosmopolitan and unique cities thanks to its gleaming condominiums and towers that line the Atlantic Ocean shoreline, and all those charms are displayed during the city's annual Miami Marathon. This is one of the best destinations runs in the entire country.

Among the favorites were Jackson Limo and Erick Mose from Kenya, Urgesa Kedir Figa and Ashenafi Ketema Birhana Ethiopia, and Jordan Tropf and Jared Mills from the United States in the men's race.

Among the favorites for the women's race are Nina Zarina of the United States, Martha Akeno and Damaris Areba of Kenya, as well as Palmenia Raquel Agudelo Berrio of Colombia and Paola Kung of Peru.

Kenyan runner Jackson Limo won the men’s marathon with an unofficial time of 2:21:34. Birhanu Dare Kemal (Ethiopia) and Jordan Tropf (USA) finished second and third with times of 2:24:26 and 2:26:11, respectively. Kenyan runner Martha Akeno finished first in the women’s marathon with a time of 2:29:00. Palmenia Raquel Agudelo Berrio (Colombia) and Nina Zarina (USA) finished second and third with times of 2:42:30 and 2:51:50, respectively.
