Event Name: Palm Beaches Spartan Sprint 5k Weekend
Location: Boca Raton, Florida

The Spartan Race in Boca Raton, Florida is one of my favorite Spartan Races of the year as a sports photographer in Palm Beach. Since it is a close as a bike ride from my home it is one of the few times that I get to sleep in and get a little extra rest. Even better than that since it is near my hometown I get to say hello to many of the local Spartan athletes that live close to home, and as funny as it may sound I get to meet some new Spartan Friends that don't live in the area.

On the first day of the event I was assigned to the Fire Jump. This is definitely one of the Spartan racer favorite photo locations through out the course. Who doesn't like sharing a photo one social media of them jumping over some fire!

I've been at Spartan races where sometime the fire was just not that impressive because the wood unfortunately was just to wet. On this day the fire was great! Burning all throughout the day. It sure made for a good challenge as each of the OCR athletes approached it. On this day not many were able to simply walk over it, it required a jump to not burn some of the those hairs. LOL
